# Carrara Bridal Inspo in a Marble Sculpture Studio

If I say Carrara anywhere in the world, the first thought is always the marble. Few people know that, in reality, this lovely town in northern Tuscany has given the material for some of the greatest and most important works of art of all time. Michelangelo, among others, used to come personally to the quarries in order to choose the marble for his works. God has given such a precious material to Carrara, and we couldn’t but honour this pretty town suspended between the mountains and the ocean by organising a styled shoot in a marble workshop.

Carrara is not the most popular location for destination weddings and, unfortunately, it is little known abroad, despite being just a few minutes drive from the Cinque Terre and the golden beaches of Versilia. The locals who work with marble are very reserved and, thanks to this, they kept themselves very authentic. They rarely welcome you warmly, but once you have known them better, they are perfect companions for all the funniest things of life – including drinking lots of glasses of the tasty and sweet local spirits. 🙂

Also because of this, the Cooperativa Scultori Carrara was the best location available for the session. A place where you can breathe the real and tough work of the ancestors, made of dust and sweat, pieces of gypsum and commitments that look forgotten in a corner, but which are actually waiting to be exhibited in the squares and parks all over the world. Here, in her fabulous dress by Pronovias, Bianca – there couldn’t be a more appropriate name – posed for my lenses. Sexy, with red hair like fire and a shine that glowed even in the whitest white. The light that filtered through the windows and bounced on the whitewashed walls of the studio let me create unique and exciting bridal portraits. Thanks to the pretty flowers of FlowersLiving and the setting of Ilbiancoeilrosa, it was easy to shot floral arrangements and table decor, perfectly in style with the pure essence of the area. A sincere thanks also to all the other vendors below, who have given their skills for the success of this gorgeous bridal inspo.
