Arranging your Wedding at Belmond Splendido in Portofino is the best choice if you’re looking for a stylish, old fashioned way to celebrate with friends and families in Italy. Portofino is, in fact, one of the most famous Italian coastal resorts. Located on the Ligurian Riviera a stone’s throw from Genoa and the Cinque Terre, Portofino offers its visitors breathtaking sceneries and exclusive venues. The famous Piazzetta populated by celebrities throughout the summer season is the best frame of the marina, full of luxury yachts. The colourful little houses, in contrast with the blue of the sea, fill visitors’ eyes with glittering colours, while they are enjoying the view of the bay from the terrace of the magnificent Brown Castle. It’s not hard to fall in love in Portofino! On the contrary, it’s the perfect place to spend honeymoons or getting engagement portraits taken in the most evocative spots at sunset.
But the real jewel in Portofino’s crown is the beautiful Hotel Splendido. The Belmond Splendido had views to die for over the bay and is in such a fabulous place to explore the area. You’ll get there driving up a magnificent sweeping driveway to the main building with terraces full of flowers. Most of the rooms feature a full-length balcony with the best views over the marina and the popular hill, where you can also enjoy your breakfast. Make your way up the lovely restaurant patio in the late afternoon, take your seat on the adjacent cocktail area and enjoy the view. The hotel is a stone throw from town, and it is the most romantic walk to do in the evenings.
Said like this, a wedding at Belmond Splendido looks like a dream. That’s exactly what these two lovebirds thought, and so they flew across the ocean to celebrate here with a few friends and relatives. The bride and groom got ready in their rooms along with their loved ones, before exchanging vows and rings in the garden with a view. After a few family shots, I led them to the Piazzetta for some wedding photos with the yachts and the colourful houses in the background. There isn’t anything more picturesque for wedding photos in Riviera! And while I was shooting their portraits, the guests were enjoying an aperitif on the terrace, where the newlyweds joined them for a toast, before sitting down for dinner. The setting was fabulous! The tables were set next to the pool with a view, and a pianist played his grand piano during the whole dinner.
If you are talking about classy weddings, with that old fashioned and stylish touch, a lovely Portofino wedding is everything you need. Here are some pictures.
