Shooting an elopement at the Aman Hotel in Venice is the dream for every photographer. Only here you can get legendary and romantic shots in the canals, on the gondola and among the most beautiful architectures of Italy. But more than for the photographer, the wedding in Venice is a dream for all the lovers. And the couple below, from far away England, chose to flee to Venice to crown their love in one of the most beautiful venues of the Laguna.
Aman Venice is a beautiful old palazzo, with frescos, antique wallpaper, intricate mouldings and lots of marble. It has a minimal number of private suites and a lot of public space. The property is flawlessly beautiful, a truly luxurious residence in a majestic location. Gloriously renovated, it’s a seamless blend of old and new. The interiors are breathtakingly rich with majestic staircases, murals, fireplaces, statues and artwork that absolutely would not go amiss in any museum. The courtyard is a lovely place to escape the chaos of Venice. Tables are arranged in the shade, and guests can laze with cocktails and canapés overlooking the water. Very romantic! Service is smilingly attentive. Approaching by boat on the Grand Canal, I could only imagine when Aman was a wholly private palazzo. Sometimes it looked like I was the only people in the building – and given that Venice is always overcrowded, I appreciated it very much.
For their elopement at the Aman Hotel, the bride and groom exchanged vows and rings in one of the most exclusive halls of the Hotel Aman. Afterwards, I captured their wedding photos around Venice and on the gondola, before returning to the hotel and shooting them one last time. It’s been a pleasure to portray them so happy and relaxed! They had been planning this day for months, and finally they had fulfilled their dream of love.
The photos below document this elopement at the Hotel Aman in Venice. And if you are also looking for an exclusive and luxurious place to elope with the love of your life and promise eternal love, perhaps you should consider Italy. You will not be disappointed!
